Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using SafeDine ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
Description of Service
SafeDine provides restaurant safety information based on publicly available health inspection data from 14 government sources across 12 states, including Florida (DBPR), New York (NYC DOHMH, NY State DOH), Illinois (Chicago CDPH), Michigan (Detroit HD), Texas (Dallas DEH, Austin TCPH), Washington (Seattle/King County), California (San Francisco DPH), Delaware (DPH), Georgia (Fulton County), Pennsylvania (PA Agriculture), Ohio (Cincinnati), and Louisiana (East Baton Rouge).
For states without active inspection data sources, SafeDine displays restaurant listings sourced from Foursquare and OpenStreetMap, covering all 50 states. These listings do not include safety scores.
Our service calculates safety scores using a proprietary algorithm to help consumers make informed dining decisions. SafeDine also offers community features including restaurant reviews and food safety incident reporting.
Data Accuracy and Estimated Scores
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, SafeDine makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data displayed.
Important: Our scores are derived from official inspection records but represent our independent analysis. They are not official government ratings. Always refer to the original government data source for authoritative information.
Estimated Scores: Some data sources provide limited violation-level detail. Scores for restaurants in Austin (Travis County), Pennsylvania, and Fulton County (Georgia) are estimated from available data and may be less precise than scores derived from full violation records. These scores should be treated as approximate indicators.
SafeDine aggregates data from government sources but does not independently verify individual violation records. Errors in source data will be reflected in our scores.

User-Generated Content
SafeDine allows users to submit restaurant reviews and food safety incident reports. By submitting content, you agree that:
- •Your submissions are truthful and based on your genuine experience
- •You will not submit false, misleading, defamatory, or malicious content
- •You will not use reviews or reports to harass, threaten, or unfairly target a business
- •SafeDine may moderate, remove, or decline to publish any submitted content at our discretion
- •Incident reports undergo a moderation review before being published
Community reviews may influence a restaurant's overall SafeDine score when sufficient reviews are received. Fraudulent or coordinated review activity will result in account suspension and removal of associated content.
Limitation of Liability
SafeDine shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service or reliance on information provided. Safety scores are informational estimates, not guarantees of food safety. Dining decisions are made at your own risk.
Intellectual Property
The SafeDine scoring algorithm, website design, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. The underlying inspection data is sourced from public government records across multiple states and jurisdictions. Restaurant listing data is provided by third parties (Foursquare, OpenStreetMap) under their respective licenses.

- •Attempt to interfere with or disrupt our service
- •Scrape or harvest data in a manner that impacts service performance
